BBC Arts: Civilisations
A 120-second social film connecting Civilisations: Rise and Fall with the Japanese collection at the Russell-Cotes Art Gallery & Museum.
Commission · BBC Arts social team
The challenge
Create a compact digital story that could promote a major broadcast series while giving a regional museum collection its own identity and point of view.
The concept
Natasha meets the collection as a curious, informed guide, using rarely seen objects to explore samurai craftsmanship, belief and the distance between popular mythology and historical evidence.
HMG’s role
